Requirement For Steers-Initial Performance Test

• Steers should be 12 – 16 months old
• Steers will be delivered to Hico, TX
• Steers should have horns past the end of the ears
• Steers must weigh at least 400 pounds and not more than 450 pounds
• Cattle must be castrated and completely healed
• Cattle must be healthy, vaccinated, dewormed, and TB tested
• Cattle should have a disposition suitable for the roping environment
• Cattle should have an ear tag in their right ear with the ranch name or brand, age of steer, and an optional individual i.d. number
• First month’s enrollment fee, $15 per head, due when cattle are delivered
