ABOUT US
The American Roping Cattle LLC (ARC) formed a pilot program in 2007 to evaluate
and test domestic Corrientes. ARC's goal is to serve as an
avenue to identify American ranches producing roping cattle that meet or exceed
the requirements of today's team roping industry.

Their mission is to evaluate data on indigenous cattle that will aid in establishing
the quality and value of American raised Corrientes. Information gathered
will create a true market value based on measured performance at team
ropings and performance at the feedyard and packer. The market value of American
raised cattle participating in this program will be assessed by precise standards
rather than prices of Mexican Corrientes crossing the border. Those ranches
raising outstanding performers, identified by ARC, will be a national resource
for roping contractors across the United States. Cattle will be managed and
data collected on individual animals using innovative hardware and software
developed by ARC. Ranchers can use the information gathered to improve their
herds. The program will lead to increased marketing opportunities for participants
who will be able to privately view performance data on their individual animals
through ARC's website throughout the length of the pilot program.
